Kitchen worktops - "Luxor"
While actively trying to get a grip on worktops, we have stumbled into a
product called "Luxor" I think it's spelt. Up untill the weekend we only thought there was granite, corian, wood or laminate. It's pulverised and re-constituted stony stuff nearly as hard as granite less permeable and available in a greater range of colourings. We saw in in John Lewis and Magnet, but can't find it on 't'interweb. Can anyone enlighten me some more as to where I might find details on line or even if I am miss-spelling it. Cheers Pete |

Try these:- http://www.granite-transformations.net/ Thanks Tony. Seems like the same stuff, but it looks like it's a stick-on-top product rather than a complete replacement worktop. I'll keep looking. I'll keep looking. Sounds like the material used to make Schock sinks (also available from John Lewis). Unfortunately, www.schock.co.uk is not very helpful - but try http://www.schock.de/index.php?newla...&seite=8&sub=0 - hopefully that gives the English version. All the information about their "New and Internationally Exclusive: CRISTALITE® Star-granite Worksurfaces" seems to be in http://www.schock.de/files/pdf/19.pdf Disclaimer: I have no connection with Schock, have never used any of their products and this might not be what you want! -- Rod |

So I guess it's back to our original choices of materal. Thanks for the links though.
