I'm looking for some plate about 1" thick. I need ordinance grade.

Speedy Metals has 1" 4140 flats to 8" wide . Call (414) 784-4140. Ask for a
catalog, very handy. They are located near Milwaukee, WI. No conection, just
a satisfied customer.

Default Source of 4140 ordinance steel?

I am pretty sure you can get it from that mill that is a bit south of
Sydney.
