Default OT Journalism for FUN & PROFIT (for Ed)

Hey Ed, why don't you cook up some great pseudonym and get some
white house press credentials?

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2005/022405E.shtml

What the heck's going on here, First Mary Roush and then this
Guckert Guy! Is it really that easy to pull the wool over
american eyes?

Jim

I don't know. It appears that having Karl Rove working behind the scenes for
you is a help.

In the most stage-managed presidency in history, Guckert is just one of the

I just don't get this. That administration was always touting
its 'family values.' And here they have a man-whore running around
inside the white house, nobody seems to know what he was doing

Uh, then you're saying that Barney Franks would not be a favorite of
conservatives? I think you've got that right. g

The issue is that the party of homophobic fundamentalists just got caught
with a rather large embarrassment. When Barney Franks came out, his
relatively more tolerant constituents had little problem with it.

Just for the record, Ed, it's Barney Frank (no "s"). He's the guy who once
observed that for a certain brand of Republicans, "Life begins at conception
and ends at birth". When his homosexuality became public, Tip O'Neil is
alleged to have told him "Gee, Barney, I always thought you'd be our first
_Jewish_ president" :-)

LOL. I had never heard of this quote from O'Neil.
And it is Frank, of course.

My question is how come the republicans, who ran on a platform of
homophobia, and family values, reconcile this with having a
man-whore parading around in the white house.

Apparently Talon News Service didn't even *exist* until after
guckert had already been frequenting the white house with day
passes for quite some time.

Was he there to service some of the male members of the administration?

I'm not quite sure how he wound up in a press conference, or what
the administration thought when he started spouting off about
'reality.'

Did the Secret Service understand about all the public web sites
with his photos, "8 inches cut?" Did they stop to consider the
threat he represented to the white house? Apparently they weren't
consulted.

Next time I hear mr. bush yammering on about 'family values'
I will know what he's talking about - male prostitutes prancing
about in his office.

Yes: Scott McLellan and, once, George W. Bush. His "questions" generally

Gunner, all kidding aside, you probably have the "other" spin
on this guckert fellow. I suspect you could explain his
existence in the white house in a number of other ways:

He was planted by the righties to embarass the news media.

He was a mole designed to test the Secret Service's abilities.

He had some other secret mission that has yet to be revealed
by our administration.

Please tell me somthing like that, instead of, "it's
what it really looks like" because I don't want to think
my goverment is really run that way.

No idea Jim. But Im sure the truth will come out before long. I tend
to take a wait and see attitude until all the data is in. Or at least
enough of it to make a case one way or another.

The Lefties are already trying to make political hay over this on
various newsgroups..."gay prositution and pedophile rings"..yada yada
yada. They tend to go silent when I mention Barney Frank and a host
of other Lefties who have gotten their dicks caught in their zippers.

Shrug. Lets wait and see what comes to the surface. It could well be a
scandal. Wont be the first time. Bob Packwood comes to mind. Though
Republicans are surprisingly good about cleaning out their problem
children. The Left on the other hand..tends to Diefy them.

"I did not have sex...with that woman..." (or commit at least 3
rapes)

Apparently there are a couple of "freedom of information"

do get preferential treatment when they submit those.

Who issued the press passes and the day passes? He was
