Don't try to store your oxygen and acetylene in the samecylinder........
Might be just a valve gasket breakdown. Oxidize hydrocarbon and you get

And the cylinder is filled with kitty litter. Which is why those tanks are so heavy. Acet may..may explode spontainiouly if more than a cubic foot is free in space.
