Yet Another Machining Job Shop That Has No Button Pushers
While Mark Wieber and Uncle George are living in a time warp this is what has become the norm for many small machining job shops:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84d6eaSHcsU "It is very seldom that we will produce hundred and hundreds of the same exact part." "We've seen our efficiencies go up, we've seen our spindle times go up... because we don't have operators transitioning back and forth between the machining center and what was a centralized programming station." Not a Brideport type knee mill to be found. Notice the parts and CADCAM program that clearly shows all the surfacing they do. |
