HF Coupons - image on your phone can be used, maybe...
I always wondered about getting coupons to work/be used that you have
on an electronic device (phone, iPad, tablet...). Don't know how official this is, but it might be worth a try: === The coupon policy was updated a few weeks ago; accepting coupons off a customer's cell phone or what have you is now official policy. I honestly didn't know it wasn't written in the policy before that, we've always done it. If a cashier refuses to accept them ask a manager to check the recent coupon policy update. Just because managers were supposed to inform cashiers about it doesn't mean all of them did... === Found the blurb on this page while looking for a 20% off coupon that would work online (no luck on the latter): http://slickdeals.net/f/1276399-Harb...read?&page=198 -- Leon Fisk Grand Rapids MI/Zone 5b Remove no.spam for email |

I wonder if the POS scanner will read a phone screen?

Doesn't have to be scanable, but with some phones and newer barcode scan guns it actually will - the newest guns don't wait for the laser to illuminate the code, it's there more for targeting purposes. If it sees the right pattern as a light source it'll read it. Same way your phone can read QR codes and other barcodes using the camera. Otherwise they just type in the code number from the barcode. -- Bruce -- |
