Do you contend that government schools are NOT Liberal-Socialist schools with UNION Socialist teachers? Would that mean that private schools are Reactionary-Fascist schools with non union fascist teachers? Or that they don't recommend and coerce and fight in courts to drug the kids that they want to be drugged? Do you have any evidence that children in private or parochial schools are medicated at lower rates than children in public schools? Heh heh... All I need to know is that the Socialist government schools allow them no options..... they have to do what the school says. Scotty, you need a new dictionary. Public schools, like police, fire, street cleaners and others, are civil services. Socialism is what you have when the government owns the means of production. Where as, if they went to a private school they could have many other options including their option to switch to another private school with different requirements and teaching methods. Private schools don't have to accept students with emotional or physical problems. (There is some complication under Section 504, if the private school takes federal money.) Public schools do, by law. And they have to use professionally accepted methods to teach. If the neurologists who diagnose ADHD suggest drugs to enable the kid to be taught, then they're generally prescribed. It's up to the parents to decide if they'll give the kids the drugs, not the schools. Not all school districts require a neurologist to make the diagnosis, but a medical doctor is required to write the prescription. -- Ed Huntress |
