I'm buying a safe for personal papers and possibly some light valuables... It has holes in the bottom to bolt it down... What would *you* do to properly secure a safe to the floor, wall, etc.? Put threaded inserts into the floor or wall, then bolt it to the inserts. Make left-hand-thread bolts and inserts first, though. Use threadlocker, of course. Unless your hypothetical housebreaker is oxyacetylene equipped, or has loud-noise capability, he's unlikely to remove the bolts. |
