Only Six Percent Of Scientists Are Republicans: Pew Poll

Let's look at what the Pew Poll reported in slightly more detail:

"Most scientists identify as Democrats (55%), while 32% identify as
independents and just 6% say they are Republicans."

Some, like scientists, might wish to look at the poll rather than
accept a pre-digested partisan opinion of what it says and means.

I whole-heartedly agree about the correlation between inflamatory rhetoric
and lack of credibility. Lately there has been much more of that showing up
here from the Right.

As for the data in that pole, I do not see your point. Where is the gross
distortion in the summary of that data?

I see distortion in that garbage data into a garbage model yields garbage
squared out.

Some of us know enough mathematics that a poll says what the
poll taker / analyst wants it to say. Lets see, the poll was
in Berkley, Chicago and .... how about the off track major
research centers - high energy, alternate energy and pure science
types.

one - we know where the grants come from.

I did not impute gross distortion. I invited you to draw your own
conclusions from data beyond the presented rant.
