OT - Climategate: Science Is Dying -- Science is on the credibility bubble
Daniel Henninger on the continuing fallout from the leaked emails.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...57209199373784 8.html The Wall Street Journal, 3 December 2009. The academic community has been largely quiet, but for deeper reasons than the truth or falsity of global warming: They are stunned. These emails paint a picture of academic fraud, a very serious charge in the academic world, and so the academics are investigating. A half-page report in Nature titled "Storm clouds gather over leaked climate e-mails -- British climate centre reeling over Internet posting of sensitive material" (26 Nov 09, page 397) says that there is some disagreement as to the impact of these emails, but no consensus has emerged. http://www.nature.com/news/2009/091124/full/462397a.html?s=news_rss The story will unfold slowly, as well it should, given that these could be dismissal offenses.
