The point of the new mini .380 pistols is that they're a take anywhere

available concealment. If you can, take something bigger.

AND the .380.

Odd..I have a .45 on my person most of the time and it never prints.

Not to nitpick, but that .45 is rather different from a 1911. It's
double action only, no safety to forget.

Yes. And yet you still carry a poodle shooter.

Blink blink.

Btw...I can carry a Series 70 95% of the time and it wont print. But
since Im crawling under machines, in electrical cabinets etc etc...I
chose to carry something less likely to be a bother. And its not a
...titter....380...9mm Kurtz...9mm Short.

Gunner, egging Don on, with glee
'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith
becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact
equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man
because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the
person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...
There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag,
the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the
English language.. and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people.'

Why not? You go about in a G String?

A) I live in Wisconsin.

B) If I can see it, I don't consider it concealed.

Which first appeared in 1908 in the Colt Pocket Hammerless, the P3AT
of it's time. Damn, I should have had a Centennial celebration last
year! BTW, I have a .380 AMT and I hope Gunner's .45 version is more
reliable, because my pistol is a 4 shooter, more than 3 in the mag and
it jams.

Let the Record show that Gunner Asch on
or about Sun, 02 Aug 2009 12:17:47 -0700 did write/type or cause to
appear in rec.crafts.metalworking the following:

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith
becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact
equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man
because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the

I love that quote, Gunner. It's the non-assimilation which is causing
so many of our troubles today. The "melting pot" idea is no longer
working. sigh

One of the problems is that "melting pot" has nothing to do with
cooking, but with metal working. You threw all the bits into the
melting pot, added heat, and melted it all together forming a new
alloy.

Because the Left has intentionally made Balkanization their policy, not
assimilation.

Divide an conquer. Worked for the Romans, and the Brits, and even
the Bolsheviks.

A crime they will pay the ultimate price for. And soon.

We're all going to be paying for it.

Mine holds one in the chamber...5 in the mag. And is 100% reliable with
well over 4000 rds run down range so far.

A tiny 6 shot .45. Whats not to love? Well...I understand the recoil
is a bit disconcerting for the lesser shooters...shrug...but then..I
carry a 4" .41 Mag a lot and shoot it a lot.

Stuff... I do have a few arms that shoot it..but I seldom shoot them.

Ill dig you out what I have.

Way cool, thanks.

My pleasure.

Not hearing from you since 03Aug and doubting that you would bother to
collect poodleshooter brass, I glommed some found yesterday that were
reasonably priced. Got enough to hold me for awhile now. Tnx anyway.

Ill send you some. I didnt get home until Saturday morning this week,
and last week was an utter madhouse.

No sweat, Gunner. Mox nix, as GI's once stationed in Germany said,
Army-ese for macht nicht.

Motto here is NIU (nothing is urgent). Good neighbor Trav found small
pistol primers in Council Bluffs, grabbed me a brick whatta guy.
95-grain poodleshooter bullets arrived today, some brass on hand and
more on the way, I'm good to go for a while. I have plenty of
..45ACP, .40S&W, .357 and 9mmp but .380 is kinda scarce at the moment
and I do worry about attack poodles. Poodle punting is frowned upon in
MN. Better to dye them chartreuse and use them for musky bait.

Problem with 9mmp and .380ACP is that it disappears into even
recently-mown grass. .40 and .45 is a lot easier to find for some
reason. We thoroughly enjoy shooting outdoors during clement weather
so we expect and accept some brass attrition.

I do enjoy watching Nana Mary shoot the Sig P232 (.380) she selected
as her "graduation gift" for acing and maxing her CCW range qual test.
She is slightly amazing with that little pistol.
