I am looking for someone that has experience with a Standard-Modern Metal
Lathe 1334.

That isn't the CNC unit is it?
If so, RUN!!!!!!!!
Dang thing can't hold accuracy worth squat.
Their manual tathes were pretty decent.

www.linuxcnc.org could polish a turd.

BAD control. No digitizer - all done by resolver - extremely noise
sensitive and error prone.
With grounding and sheilding all corrected the repeatability is about
300% better than it was when shipped, but still crappy.
