Default Supplier for Helicoil hardware

I require some bulk thread inserts and replacement taps for a few
helicoil sets we use here in the shop all the time... These are longer
lengths than what most places keep on the shelf and when I got the
last batch from J&L and they were all special order from Helicoil.

Pricing seemed high, and there is no discount on the special order
stuff, so before I re-order I was wondering if there is another
company that I should enquire to?

thanks!

Try the Nutty Company, no kidding...

http://www.nutty.com/index.shtml

A few years back Fastenal quoted me $1.69ea. for 100 count 1/2"x13Tx.75"
(recoil same as heli-coil).

Found Nutty, asked for qty. pricing bought 500 for 25 cents ea....

Fastenal called on me later (I had bought thousands of these over the
years all makes), and I gave the sales guy the news.
