Some are nutcases who have some pretty strange ideas about religion and even the path of the country. Egomaniacs who teach egomania and supremacy. Stormin Mormon is always posting the link to his LDS faith. I would like to post this for any recovering Mormon or anyone who wants a different side of the argument: www.exmormon.org From there, you can find as much as you want to know about it. Apparently, people are leaving the church. Another good read you can't put down is Secret Ceremonies by Deborah Laake. (sp)? A view from the inside. Steve, a plain vanilla Christian now I don't agree with the religion but the few Mormons I have dealt with have been good people. Steven Covey is way into Mormonism and his Seven Habits philosophy is said to be a generic application of Mormon principles. The origins of the religion may be whacked, but they came up with something that seems to work. It is a workable social system, and I respect that. If more people lived like a lot of Mormons do, this world would improve in about fifteen minutes. I just have issues with the religion itself. Steve Roger that. |
