Well, McCain was trying to give an accurate answer. His wife is rich, I suspect SHE
handles finances in the McCain household.

I think he has a firmer grasp on national issues.

I'll bet most of those houses are rented, and he may have never even
seen some of them. Iggy should ask Obama how many people got sick, or
died in the slumlord owned housing his supporters own. This in spite of
tax money he provided them, yet they continued to have no working
toilets or heat.

Obama and his mate were just on TV chanting about increasing tax on
big oil. That means gas prices will go up even more, but his cult
members were cheering right along with this great 'change'. His
'change' will be from a recession to a depression.

She definitely handles her own finances.

She made him sign a ironclad penuptial agreement, at least.

I think he has a firmer grasp on national issues.

I think that the question is -- why does he not know how many houses
he has, is that because he is senile, or because Cindy does not tell
him, or he has too many, or what.

This just in:

Dear Abby,

I am a crack dealer in Beaumont, Texas , who has recently
been diagnosed as a carrier of HIV virus.

My parents live in Fort Worth .

One of my sisters lives in Pflugerville and is married to a
transvestite.

My father and mother have recently been arrested
for growing and selling marijuana.

They are financially dependent on my other two
sisters, who are prostitutes in Dallas .

I have two brothers: one is currently serving a life sentence at
Huntsville for the murder of a teenage boy in 1994.

My other brother is currently in jail awaiting charges
of sexual misconduct with his three children.

I have recently become engaged to marry a former prostitute who lives
in Longview.

She is a part time 'working girl'.

All things considered, my problem is this.

I love my fiancé and look forward to bringing her
into the family.

I certainly want to be totally open and honest with her.

Should I tell her about my cousin who supports Barack Obama for
President?

Signed,
Worried About My Reputation

Under the terms of the Pre-Nup, she handles her finances and he handles his
even to the point of mandatory seperate Income Tax filings.

It'd be most unlikely that he has any idea of the extent of her holdings.

It is more likely because he knows that if he said 6 and it was 8, gotcha politics would
be in play.

It was a gotcha question in the first place. Typical play on class envy.

I'm not thrilled at looking at McCain as a fire brake holding off our head long drive into
socialism but that is all there is that is viable.

McCain is far from senile, his mom is still living and is coherent the last time I heard
her. I keep remembering dems saying Reagan would die in office. Didn't happen.

McCain will be 72 years old on the FIRST! day if he's elected president. I
think that's a bit too far past retirement age to be taking on what's
supposedly the hardest and most stressful job in the world. He's already
been a senator for decades. I thank him for his service and wish him a nice
retirement because he's already well past retirement age . I don't want to
send someone that old into the breech. It's a younger more vigorous man's
job. McCain is going to be an extension of Bush's presidency. That's bad. He
needs to go home and find something positive to do with his time and money.
The presidency is not the job for him. It would have been okay in 2000 but
not in 2009. There is a point where you are past being capable to do a job.
McCain is already there. He needs to go into retirement not into the White
House.

Yep, you're right, Reagan didn't die in office. But his brain did. Last few
years in office his mental capacity was dying. He was like the Wizard of OZ
in the end. He was just a puppet that his handlers were holding on to in an
attempt to keep their hands on the power.

The wall fell in 89, President Reagan managed to beat whoever was the dem that ran against
him in 88. I guess Mr. Reagan's brain was functioning well enough.

It still functions better than Hawkie's.
