Well, I've always wondered about taking a hammer drill to the cistern
walls (unused for 50 years) and hack out a door. Only issue then is excavating an entry down to it. Bruce L. Just out of curiosity, why are you shocked? Is this Beloit Wisconsin?
When I was growing up in Rockford Illinois, it appeared that Beloit and South Beloit has quite a bit of machining and machine tool work going on.
