Default Need pointer to a supplier of anodized aluminum channel in Austin, Texas

Hi,

Does anyone know of a supplier of anodized aluminum channel in Austin,
Texas?

I'm just looking for 1" U-stock for a furniture project. The big box
stores here do not seem to carry anodized, only mill finish. I found
stock online, but the shipping almost doubles the cost of the stock.

Thanks,
Blake West

Look in the Yellow Pages under "Steel" or "Aluminun" or maybe "Metal
Suppliers". 6061 would probably be what you want to use. That is what
is mostly used in aircraft.

Check with T-slots (Futura Industries). If you can cut it to 6', you can
ship it ups ground.

You should be able to find someone there in town that will treat it.
It is normally done after outside cuts are made. Boxes and such.
