To All:

I'm curious as to what degree people see, or don't see, certain words
as being "profane", "foul language", "obscene", etc. Here are a list of
words, please rate them from 1 (innocuous, nothing words) to 10 (strong
profanity). Now some of these words need context to rate them, so
imagine those particular words in the worst context imaginable. Don't
get all inhibited, there's no right or wrong answer.

Tom:

Actually, it was *MY* survey and was only meant to be posted to
alt.machines.cnc as it was related to an ongoing discussion in another
thread there. Cliff just seems to have developed some sort of obsessive
crossposting fetish lately.

My oops . I'll give credit where credit where credit is due.

You missed a couple Bob. ;-) Anyway, did you click the link? George Carlin
was arrested when he did that bit on the Summerfest stage here in Milwaukee
'bout 30 ish years ago. The cops knew he was gonna do it and they were
backstage waiting for him to open his dirty old mouth. They dragged him
right off stage!!

Yeah well, I wasn't taking them off a list, and perhaps I've gotten out
of practice in keeping curse words at the forefront of my memory.
Things just slip through the neurons so easily these days.

Anyway, did you click the link?

Yes, I did. I always liked George Carlin.

Now-a-days he'd probably just be fined $50,000!
