Does someone have a diagram
or a picture that describes all of the cutter sharpening terms that
the experienced machinists take for granted?

Specifically

Rake
Relief,
Top Rake
Back Rake
Side Rake
Positve Rake
Negative Rake

Clearance
Front Clearance
Side Clearance
Chip breaker

Sherline doesn't cover the terms much but has some basic info on grinding
your own bits he

If you really want to get into details, consider picking up a copy of
"Design and Use of Cutting Tools" by Leo J. St. Clair and published by
McGraw-Hill. It has nearly 400 pages on the subject with more diagrams than
you can shake a stick at.
