make their relocation to good homes. I can make the trip either this
weekend or the following. If you can send pics or post to the dropbox
would be cool.

Also, one of the potential new parents is looking for a vertical mill
(BP/clone) for his woodworking shop. One which is a bit, shall we say
'well broken in' would be fine. I think $1500 is upper end of budget. A
decent drill press with some grunt would be another option to the mill.

Shepard in them or what?

I got some part Blue Heelers I'm going to be selling this weekend,
they'll be 5 weeks and ready to go. Mine are good looking dogs, but I
don't think there's one as good looking as the middle one in your 1852
pic, that's a serious good looking dog.

He looks like the 3 blond ones. Big way too smart golden with the
herding instinct.

Clarence? Or as I call him...Lumpy? Thats the one that I rescued
from a crack house as the owners were going off to the Gray Bar Hotel

stitching up the dog, Clarences stood idly by licking the blood off

A vet told me that dogs who choose their owners tend to live much
longer.

My late Charlie Dog, black lab and german shepherd, lived for 18
years. That's nearly twice a lifespan for those breeds.
We were both strays at the time, she decided to move in with me one
day as a half-grown pup. I liked her OK but she was a bit wild, being
a stray and all. She was a survivor, a mutt, living by wily charm.

After sorting out some matters of obligatory manners with zero
tolerance for error, I decided she could live with me for a while. I
liked her and she seemed to like me. She didn't need me; she could
charm her way into any kitchen in the 'hood and had been doing so.

We became buds for a very long time thereafter. She was never
what I'd call "obedient" but she never ever deviated from required
basic manners. She definitely had a mind of her own, loved playing
tricks on me, but she was incredibly gentle with children, very
polite about temptations including icecreamcones, while being
fiercely protective of "her" humans.

She even won the hawrt of milady that came later, who called her "that
goddamned tulip-eating dog" for some time. They got to be fast
friends eventually. Char was Mar's shadow in the northwoods,
guarding her against maurauding chipmunks, geese and nearly-feral
stray dogs that happened by from time to time. When Char passed on,
Mar grieved for "that goddamned tulip-eating dog" for months. There
is still a photo of Char stuck to the fridge with a magnet.

A good dog is a rare treasure. Charlie 'n I checked each other out
every day. If I had skeeter bites or bee stings, she somehow knew
--and it is quite amazing how dog licks can make those go away. She'd
gently use her front teeth to abrade some problems, then lick them
away. They healed overnight after her attentions. When she got a
tick I saw it, and she trusted me enough to hold still while I did the
necessary surgery that must have hurt a bit.

When Charlie died, I visited the vet to discuss final arrangements.
While I was waiting, a huge cat came around and crawled all over me.
I'm not a cat fancier, neither like them nor dislike them. The vet
noted that, said he'd never seen that cat behave that way. Perhaps
the cat sensed my grief. Mighta been a pretty good cat. Animals
and small children have uncanny instincts at times.

Ah, you do me great honor Gunner-sama. Sure wish I had room for him,
that's a beautiful dog. BJ there is another good looking dog, I've seen
several that look just like him, every one was a very good dog.

Got a funny pup right now, he's almost a year old. Long-legged, skinny
beast, strange. Not very tough but loveable as hell, I got out of the
truck the other day (he wouldn't go to the store with me, stayed home)
and he came up and got my hand in his mouth, held my hand all the way to
the house door. Funny dog..

Both he and BJ are now residing, along with another pup from the
litter, with a fellow who posts on Alt.machines.cnc, who also has one
of my earlier pups.

He flew an airplane down from northen California today, and picked up
BJ and 2 of the pups, and flew back. He took orders for his family.

Which says volumes about how well they are considered.

Sounds like you have a marvelous companion dog, for life. Sometimes
the odd ones make great buds, just like in real life G

He looks like the 3 blond ones. Big way too smart golden with the
herding instinct.



I got some part Blue Heelers I'm going to be selling this weekend,
they'll be 5 weeks and ready to go. Mine are good looking dogs, but I
don't think there's one as good looking as the middle one in your 1852
pic, that's a serious good looking dog.


Want him? Figure out a way to get him to you and he is yours. Im
picky about who gets my dogs, and Id be honored to have you get one.


Ah, you do me great honor Gunner-sama. Sure wish I had room for him,
that's a beautiful dog. BJ there is another good looking dog, I've seen
several that look just like him, every one was a very good dog.

Got a funny pup right now, he's almost a year old. Long-legged, skinny
beast, strange. Not very tough but loveable as hell, I got out of the
truck the other day (he wouldn't go to the store with me, stayed home)
and he came up and got my hand in his mouth, held my hand all the way to
the house door. Funny dog..

Both he and BJ are now residing, along with another pup from the
litter, with a fellow who posts on Alt.machines.cnc, who also has one
of my earlier pups.

He flew an airplane down from northen California today, and picked up
BJ and 2 of the pups, and flew back. He took orders for his family.

Which says volumes about how well they are considered.

Sure 'nough. Good to hear they went to a good home, if he ever send
pictures of the spotty one when he grows up I'd like to see them.


Sounds like you have a marvelous companion dog, for life. Sometimes
the odd ones make great buds, just like in real life G

I have big hopes for him, just gotta keep him to stay off the bed.. I
generally take my dog anyplace I go, really seems to do them a lot of good.

You dont let him sleep on the bed????? Why not? My bed looks like a
petting zoo most of the time. Cats, dogs, people. Though it does make
it tough sometimes getting up to pee in the middle of the night.

Well, I no longer post to Cliff's potty, er a.m.c. It's usually here, or
nowhere. Pups made the flight with zero problems or mishaps, they waited
to be put in the back of my truck for that. The two kids that got the
younger pups were, to put it lightly, STOKED! To see them when they saw
their new pups was worth more than the trip to get them. Now, I have a
quandry. My neighbor, who is supposed to get BJ, just drove up. BJ is at
my feet at the moment. He is no doubt a goody, thanks Mark, for starting
him out on the good track. Maybe my neighbor won't like him. Fat chance.
Maybe BJ won't like the neighbor. I can only hope. Either way, Buckshot
will have a playmate. I'll post some growin up pics to the dropbox from
time to time.

Thats why the wife brought you 4 pups...so you would have a spare to
give away. I figured you would get off on BJ. I hated to give him up,
but..too many dogs as it is now.

His personality did most of it. He is a natural companion dog, with a
wonderfuly happy personality.

None of them have had their shots, and this area has a history of
parvo, so get em in soon and taken care of.

BJ is with his new daddy now.;( I have already mentioned shots &
heartworm, etc and will stay on that to be certain. Probably shoulda
took #4.

You dont let him sleep on the bed????? Why not? My bed looks like a

I wouldn't mind him on the bed so much but he invites the other dogs up
after I go to sleep and hogs the bed something terrible. Woke up this
morning with him stretching out over a goodly chunk of bed and another
rubbing heads with me.
