Default ThyssenKrupp sells MetalCutting business

In a deal expected to close before the end of the year, ThyssenKrupp
AG would sell its metal-cutting business, which includes Giddings,
to privately held Maxcor Inc. of New York.

The purchase price was not disclosed, but ThyssenKrupp said it would
take a loss on the sale.

I guess Kearney and Trecker would be included since they're owned by
Giddings. Not that they make anything anymore.

China is buying up those great old hydraulic knee mills to ship off to China.
Very best hor/vert mills for all around strength and rigidity which I have used,
the ones I worked on were probably built back in WW2 too.

I see where they sold the heat-treat plant too, in Windsor, Ontario.
Was called Thyssen Marathon for many years, but now it answers "Swiss
Steel International".
