Default Interesting new product...

--Went to the bearing supply house the other day and happened to
notice a big cookie jar full of what looked like chapstick dispensers, but
it's Loctite! Interesting. Not cheap at a little over $10.- a pop, but it
has a couple of things going for it that I like. For starters, being in a
waxy state it's not likely to drip out and melt the label off of the
outside like the stuff in squeeze bottles tends to do. Second, as it's not
going to drip it's OK to keep it in a pocket. Nice idea; past due. Glad
someone thought of it.

Last I heard the jury was still out on the Loctite sticks. I think
they've had problems with them drying out prematurely.
Permatex came out with a threadlocker gel that accomplishes the same
thing for a lot less money. That's what I'm using.

--Aha! Good to know. Does Permatex offer it in different
strengths; i.e. for stuff that will/will not be disassembled from time to
time??
