Yo, Rex!
Since you buzz through Irving occasionally, I thought you might like
to know about these guys I just found. Dickson Tools and Equipment. They're on Nursery Road just North or Irving Blvd. Easy to spot since there'll be a dozen or so compressors outside along with a pallet jack and some hoists. It's packed inside and has just all kinds of general-purpose tools. Not much in the way or machining, but lots of mechanics tools, grinding, welding, air tools, and miscellaneous. Kind of medium-range pricing on the stuff I looked at. They do repairs too: air tools, motors, pumps, compressors, etc. And the guy inside knows where you can probably get anything he doesn't have. -- B.B. --I am not a goat! thegoat4 at airmail dot net http://web2.airmail.net/thegoat4/ |

Hey, thanks. I'll check that out.
Are you aware of Williams Tool in Ft Worth, on East Belknap? There is also a place that deals in machine tools off Hwy 121 @ Carson (?) in Haltom City (Ft Worth). Brad Kay Tools is the ebay name. - - Rex Burkheimer Fort Worth TX B.B. wrote: Since you buzz through Irving occasionally, I thought you might like to know about these guys I just found. Did he tell you the story about his ex-wife? It's pretty funny! I've
always had good dealings with them. |

Dang, this is like old home week. If you think this guy is funny and opinionated, you should have known old man Dickson. I sold him takeoff tires and wheels in the 70's. It was Dickson Salvage then. Rex, is Brad Kay, the son of Tommy Kay who had the hubcap shop on North Henderson? My sister worked for Tommy for many years. Last I heard, Brad was racing ATVs. |

Rex: Don't you mean Williams Tool, Ripoff specialist? That's the only
tool place in the Metroplex that I've been tossed out of and banned from. Caught them trying to sell some salvaged equipment from my employer as fully functional when our internal repair shop had it scrapped as unrepairable and parts unavailable. They got real uptight when I started to quote from where certain items came from and why they had been sent to salvage as total junk despite the nice little test tags they had hung on them. The guy that owns Dickson Tools (I think his name is Brad). He and a
buddy followed his to be ex-wife on a date with another guy. While they were in a restaurant, Brad and his buddy aired up a compressor and proceeded to take the guy's car doors off the hinges. They then placed the doors so everything would look normal. When wifey and illicit boyfriend came out and tried to get in the car, they pulled the doors off the car Terminator style. While I don't condone vandalism, this is still funny. Besides, she shouldn't have been cheating....... |

IIRC, they used an Air Ratchet and an Air Hammer to remove the hinges
from the door. |
