Someone here recently was looking for a L-0 Jacobs collet chuck setup. This is
probably one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7527339547

nice starting price ..

It was I. The model number looks like it should be an L-0 mount, but
someone has removed the mounting threads from the od of the spindle end
of the chuck. Troublesome to fix.

The model # is for a LO mount but considering the price in
1953 was $225 just for the chuck alone, rectifying the
thread deficiency would be well worth doing. A pinned
threaded ring retained by a circlip is not a biggie.

I don't think that this one is an L-0 (or an L-00, for that
mater). The internal taper looks close, but I don't see the external
threads that the locking ring should engage.

nice starting price ..

I agree with that -- and if it were an L-00 I might even go for
it. As it is -- never mind. :-) (The original poster did want an L-0,
but I don't think that this is it. I'm not quite sure what this is,
however.

Enjoy,
DoN.
