Default I found an old logan 850 for 100 bucks.

I found an old logan 850 for 100 bucks, is it worth the price? Also I
can't find what type of taper the turret style tail stock takes.

10" swing, no quick-change, according to
http://www.lathe.com/models.htm
so I suspect that if it works, and has all the loose change
gears, then yes. If one or both of the above is true, then
it merely becomes maybe. If it has a bunch of chucks and
other tooling, don't even wait. Sell one chuck and you've
gotten your money back, and have the rest of the parts to
play with or part out. Even here in the lathe-rich northeast,
that's a very good price...

oh, umm, no it's not worth that at all, where's it at????
Heck that's a steal as long as it's not run over by a train, but even then
the parts are worth that.

I was worried about finding parts or tail stock tools. But I found
that parts are still being sold for this unit.

Made in 1944, new motor, 8 tool turret tail stock, No rust but its
dirty. I actually found this at an old sand casting foundry by calling
around looking for old sand casting frames and tools.
