Default OE newsgroups problems

To all those that repsonded and did not see my reply. It did in fact end up
being the Cox central newservers, and they finally admitted it. It is still
down a week later, but I have moved to a different NNTP server. Thanks to
all that repsonded.

Many ISPs are dropping newsgroup coverage. They say, "The server is down"
and it never comes back up or goes into unreliable limbo...

Yup. I've been using news.individual.net for years, it's gone down
exactly twice for minutes at a time, far as I know. Fast, reliable, and
they charge now but it's only 10 Euro a year (13 or 14 bucks).

For 14 bucks, it's worth not having to talk to an ISP's helldesk about
something they don't understand. The frustration factor alone...
