I read but almost never post. And I try not to get involved in these
things, but there are so many mistakes here.

The flag of Israel for one. That is clearly a religious symbol

No, it's not. It's not *clearly* religious and on the flag, and probably
everywhere else, it's not religious. It's a national symbol of the
Jewish nation, who were the founders of the secular State of Israel.
Many people think that Jews are a religion, but they're not. Judaism is
a religion and it is not the state religion of Israel, which has no
state religion. In fact many Jews in Israel are not at all religious
(1).

In addition, many citizens of Israel are not Jews. The population of
Israel is about 20% Moslem, 2% Christian, 2% Druze and has 2 small
communities of Samaritans, plus others. Each religious group handles
its own domestic affairs such as weddings, divorces, and funerals.

(1) The child of a Jewish mother is a Jew, whether he or she is
religious or not, whether his mother was religious or not. Whether he
believes in God or not, whether he practices anything or nothing. Jews
are a nation. For a long time a nation without a country. The
six-pointed star represents the Jewish nation, and when it's on the flag
of Israel, the Israeli nation.

from a
country with a state sponsored religion.

No it's not. Israel does not have a state sponsored religion. It uses
the Jewish calendar and most stores (but not restaurants. tourist
locations, or gas stations) are closed on Saturday, except in mostly
Arab towns or Arab parts of town where they are not closed.
Publicly-owned transportation doesn't run on the Sabbath (Friday evening
to Sat. night) and major holidays, but private buses do, Arab buses do,
private cars do, and plenty of taxis do. That's all it does to
support Judaism and other than that, each religion is on its own.

The US government spent
hundreds of billions establishing that religion over the years and

It's almost a secret, and I hope no non-Americans are reading this, but
almost all the time when the US spends money on foreign aid, it's NOT
because the Congress and the President care about these other countries
or their people. They do it for the sake of the USA and its people.
Because history has taught us that instability and war in the rest of
the world hurts the US.

In general, foreign aid from the US is less than 1% of the US budget.

In addition, most military aid to Israel is spent here in the US buying
defensive and offensive weapons and devices. This is the opposite of
the salaries of the 400,000 US soldiers, sailors and civilians deployed
in foreign countries around the world, most of whose expenses and
salaries are spent in the foreign countries where they are living..
There has never been any American military stationed in Israel and none
has ever fought for Israel.

But let me address your word "establishing".

While the US voted for partition and was the first country to recognize
Israel, just 5 minutes after the partition resolution went into effect,
those things cost the US no money at all. That was all it did to
establish the state of Israel and it actively opposed American citizens
doing anything more. During the Israeli war for independence, the US
gave no aid. would not even sell weapons, and actively tried to stop any
private aid from coming from the US. And it criminally prosecuted those
who smuggled planes, old planes which they had bought for iirc $5000
each, to Israel, which had no air force.

The US gets enormous benefit from its strategic relationship with
Israel. For example, for a decade or more, Israeli pilots flying
American-made planes were the only ones who had been in combat against
Soviet MiGs (in Syria), and everything they learned about the abilities
of the Soviet planes was sent to the US to help it modify US planes if
necessary. These days, designs for anti-missile missiles come from
Israel and are used by the American military. For 50 or maybe all 70
years, Israeli intelligence agencies have provided information America
could get nowhere else, and which in the past decade or two has been
responsible for the ability to stop terrorist acts against us, the USA,
as well as many planned terrorist acts in Europe and even some in Arab
countries.

"Congress" did "pass" those "laws".

Do you consider our recognizing the dozen countries with a cross on
their flag to be an establishment of Christianity in the US, or the
several countries that have a crescent moon to be the establishment of
Islam in the US? We have treaties with most of those countries. Does
that establish those religions as USA state religions?

I phrase this last paragraph as questions not to be combative but
because it seems the simplest way to answer the question in the second
paragraph here, at the top, to point out that nothing Congress or the
Executive has done or even tried to do has allowed or would have allowed
the Star of David on US property where a cross is not allowed.
