Default Farrow and Mayer end up destroying the reputation of all women.

What is it that has happened in the last fifty years or so, however, that has

history but there was always opprobrium attached to their status rather than
their being held as an example of independence and free thought. Lest any of
the Feminists reading think I am singling women out, it has ever been the case
that drunken philandering men have been looked down upon by others except those
of their ilk.

I think your attitudes are somewhat out of date - the attitudes of the
1950s. The sort of judgmental attitude towards women that is common
among Irish nuns.

It's not dissimilar to the Muslim attitude. Women are temptresses who
can, if they wish, seduce any decent right-minded man. Therefore they
should dress modestly and behave demurely and give the impression that
they are interested only in marriage, not in sex. When a woman gets
drunk, that is especially shameful - only men should get drunk and
that's something for which they can easily be forgiven.

I think your attitude to my attitude is a symptom of the decadence of modern
society.

It's not dissimilar to the Muslim attitude. Women are temptresses who

I don't believe it's all that similar. As I said, philandering, drunken men
are also looked down upon by polite Society. Men who are sexually promiscuous
are not hailed as being proud and independent in the way that sexually
promiscuous women are. The Moslem attitude is a preoccupation for control
whereas more traditional British standards are concerned with one's character.
There is a world of difference betwixt the two.
