Hi All,

Oh my goodness, something on topic!

Any comments on Best Buy's Insignia refrigerators?

I am looking for life span and garage ready and any
other words of wisdom.

Many thanks,
-T

Most brands like that are made in China. If the price is really good it
may be worth a risk, otherwise, stick with other known brands.

I don't know the brand name, so...

If you have a local mom & pop appliance place nearby, stop and speak
to them. You may get a deal on warranty and service. Do some
comparison.

The local mom and pop is an ass hole. I don't see how he manages
to stay in business as everyone avoids him.

Best Buy told me these are Samsung and Toshiba parts assembled
in America at Best Buy's Insignia factory.

Japanese and Korean parts is good. No Chinese parts
that I can tell.

And they are garage ready.

I can't find an American refrigerator that is garage ready, other
than Frigidaire, which is know for poor quality.

Wonder about these appliances. Son had an LG dishwasher and could not
find anyone to fix it. He had to mail order the part and repair it
himself. Can be same problem with US manufacturers with parts but
repairmen easier to find.

Best Buy fixed them. I fix my own, except for anything
that needs Freon.
