I have a Sharp microwave oven at home and it will glitch when there is a power blink. I unplug it for 30 seconds then plug it back in. That action always gets it going again. ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Very perceptive of you to notice. Yes, if the power goes out, the
microwave won't work. Neither will the mixer or garbage disposal.
Check them again when the power comes back on.

I lost one one in a voltage surge, high tension wire hitting low tension
wire to house. I now have a surge protector on mine.

I remember that day having to replace maybe $100 worth of surge
protectors going to TV, computers and the like. There were even scorch
marks at some outlets.

Nearby lightening strike took out my 32" CRT TV. Forced me to go out
and buy a 47" flat screen. Had to replace a burned circuit breaker too.
