That is why my house is all 16" X 24" porcelain tile flooring.

My dog can't stand the noise.

Indeed, they all end up as dust collectors.

Get something about 2kW. 1kW simply isn't enough to pull dirt out of a carpet.

Maybe, it's a long time since I had one, which exploded. It sucked up a lot of parrot dropping and seed husks, and something got into the motor..

Here it is, 1500W: http://www.shop-vac.eu/shop-vac-ultr...92&language=en

Jesus they cost a lot, mine was 2nd hand for about £30.

The modest young lass had just purchased some lingerie and asked if she might have the sentence "If you can read this, you're too damned close" embroidered on her panties and bra.
"Yes madam," said the clerk. "I'm quite certain that could be done. Would you prefer block or script letters ?"
"Braille," she replied.

You have a choice.

First thing I did when I purchased my house was rip up all carpeting and
had the hardwood floors refinished. I will never have carpeting.

When I bought this house, it had blood red carpet in every room
[including the bathrooms] except the kitchen. I removed that carpet and
have a light brown carpet now.I'm shopping for ceramic tile to cover
every room but the bathrooms and the bedrooms. The kitchen has wood
slats over concrete, and they will be removed for the tile. Maybe then
our dogs will think better of ****ing on rock.

I was looking at the Shark. Mean time I was able to fix the 15 year old
Hoover so I never did buy one.

About 8 years ago I bought a Panasonic upright for work. The person
using it thinks it is OK and the offices are clean.

Shark is what She wants now. The Bissell upright She has now just
broke, [the plastic canister] so I'll be getting a new one this week.

I've used a lot of vacuum cleaners and can only recommend NOT getting a
dirt devil

I've got a Dyson Absolute Animal vacuum that we bought maybe 6 years
ago. It does a great job on carpet.

Last time I picked one out of consumers test for best price performance,
was a Hoover type. Been using it at least 10 years. I also have an old
Kirby, and old Electroluxs. Shark some like.

I'm looking for a vacuum for carpets.

We have a Shark Navigator NV42 vacuum and have been really happy with it.

https://www.amazon.com/SharkNinja-NV.../dp/B007L5I7DY

It's kind of gross to see how much dirt it pulls out of our carpets.

I like that I can turn off the beater and use it on our hardwood floors
too.
