Default Whole Foods has a produce butcher

LOL!!

Yes, its exactly what it sounds like. Whole Foods describes the produce butcher as an onsite team member who will cut, slice, dice, julienne, chop, and grate any produce item at a shoppers request.

So now people dont have to chop their own veggies, or buy the ones that are already cut up and for sale in the store.

I suppose if I were a lawyer whose billable hours were worth $500 each,
it would be worth it to me to pay someone else to chop my veggies.

And they charge a LOT for the service. Of course these stores are generally located where the people can afford service like that. On the upper west side of New York, for instance. This really isn't much different from the food companies that will sell you a box of ingredients to make a single dish.

Remember, the typical New Yorker has nothing in his refrigerator. Maybe a beer, but nothing you could cook. They get takeout for pretty much everything.

Many will have serious problems if power goes out for 10 days
