Constitutionally, the president has little power over local issues
but, since FDR, the federal government has usurped many powers over
local affairs, far beyond it's mandate. The biggest hammer is the
distribution of federal funds but there are also regulatory agencies
that have vast powers to overturn local laws and policies.

When I wrote that I thought he'd lost overall. I'll rewrite it. Does
Hillary's party have any powers?

Sure, the democrats are still strong and the majority in many states.
They still have votes in the house and senate.

Their biggest strength nationally is in the Senate. IDK what the final
outcome of the Senate is, looks like the GOP has 51, with Louisiana still
up for grabs in a runoff. But with the Senate, it seems the GOP under
that moron Mitch McConnell, couldn't get anything done even with a
several seat majority. The Democrats just use Senate rules to block
anything from getting done. Seems that with out a super majority,
you can't even bring up bills for a vote. How that is allowed to go on,
IDK. Maybe Trump can fix that too. But otherwise, to move anything
through the Senate, it looks like you need at least some Democrat votes.

That's a long orgasm.

You are the one who complained about political posts and here you are,
making political posts.

Are you always this hypocritical?

Tried not to lose any sleep last night but when old bph woke me at 3 am
I turned on the TV to see end of Trump's gracious speech. Did flip
between channels and saw the sour grapes exhibited by those expected
with maybe exception of George Stephanopoulos who was not that bad but
when I googled his name to spell check it see that his wife said 3 days
ago that they were leaving America if Trump won

A bunch of the effete elite said that they would leave

I hope they do.

As long as it is YOUR doctor, and YOUR lawyer, and YOUR cancer
specialist that leaves, I guess mabee it might be a good thing for
you???
Bumbs and welfare cheats can't come to Canada legally. We will
takescientists and doctors and high-tech entrepeneurs with clean
criminal records. There WILL be a good number ofhighly intelligent
high-tech guys migrating fron SoCal to "Silicon Valley North" - which
will just make our housing prices even stupider.
