That school is screwed up so bad expulsion might be the best thing for the child. A few hundred people should give their kids toy guns to take to school.

toy guns and glorification of violence in the movies is part of the culture problem.

But i agree, the school reaction is wrong, simply sending the toys home without any punishment to the chils would be more appropriate.

It is extreme to expell a young child for that. However he and others
in the school should be aware that even a toy gun could get you killed
now. I don't recall how old a boy was in a park that had a toy gun or
maybe a BB gun and when the officers arrived he pointed it at them and
they shot and killed him.

When you only have a split second to make a decission most , including
me, would do the best to protect ones self.
