That would be me. My stud finder didn't have such capabilities.

Before I had a live circuit detector, one pocket sized and the one built into my clamp on ammeter, I used an AM/FM pocket radio. I'd tune it to a relative quiet spot on the AM dial and run it over the area of the wall I wanted to mount something to. Out of the radio speaker, I could hear the hum caused by the 60hz 120/240vac in energized wires. ^_^

I bought a Zircon StudSensor many years ago when it first hit the market.

It's how you use it. 2" in diameter isn't that abnormal but the 18" length is really inconvenient at times. I almost got it caught in the wheelchair wheel before I figured out that I could handle it like my folding cane. I fold it up into three equal lengths then wrap a Velcro strap around it. ^_^

More good news--while up in the attic making the repair, I noticed a wet spot where the roof is leaking. Yea!!!

At least I didn't cause this one

No worry. I've seen similar things happen with nails or screws into

Good news is you can not worry about a shock now.

At least you didn't find a crazy aunt in the attic. It gets
complicated after that.

I am the crazy uncle that lives in the basement...

Try and look at yourself and see who the baby is here...look at what *you* write and the folks who have to wipe your ass for you. You're in 2nd childhood and if you don't get out of it...they will put you in the ground.
