Default i am a framing contractor doing a buddy a wiring job

my friend has a 200 amp breaker box in his basement fed underground with
2/0 copper and a 200 amp meter base. can i connect to his line side of his
breaker with a 2 lug splitter to feed a 200 amp box in a outbuilding. the
splitter i bought is from a electric supply store and is rated for a dual
transformer connection?

I would say no. You have a 200 amp feed. You cannot fuse it for 400
amps. What you CAN do is feed the outbuiulding with a 100 amp 220
breaker in the first panel, and a 100 amp panel in the outbuilding.

he might get away with it until he goes to sell the place...and then some
inspector will flag it....and he'll have to pay a pro to fix your hack job.

If you connect to the load side of the disconnect, you are legal but
you still need to do a load calculation.

How about using a logsplitter instead?
