It does seem like there's always someone out there,
offering the same parts at higher price. About twenty
years ago, before Internet was the rage. An auto
repair mechanic mentioned to me that someone came by
and offered to sell him a machine for changing tires
on specialty vehicles. Only about four grand. He did
some checking and finds the same machine for two grand
at the local supplier.
