Default Almond for firewood

A friend lost a HUGE almond tree to a wind storm, at least two feet in
diameter at the trunk, probably a little more. Lots of heavy branches. Is
that any good for firewood or smoking barbecue?

Steve

Any fruit or nut bearing tree is good for smoking.

I'd grab a bunch of it.

Great for both-- Also pretty nice if you know a woodworker--
especially a wood-turner. Almond has a nice subtle grain and should
make great bowls.
