Default OT. 750,000,000 rounds hollow point

US homeland security has bought in 750,000,000 rounds of hollow point
45cal ammunition.
It's illegal to use on the battlefield, ergo you are the targets.
They will shoot you down like dogs in the street in the coming
revolution.

You can't even count!

DHS has ordered only 450 million rounds, to be delivered over a five-year
period. That's a piddly 90 million per year for over 200,000 employees, or
450 each, barely enough for one day at the practice range.

Further, the order wasn't for .45 ammunition, it was for .40 caliber.

Only in some fantasy world is it possible for American soldiers or DHS
employees to be shooting their friends and neighbors.

They do it in Syria. And Israel.
It is part of the progression of all fascist states.
I have predicted this for quite a while.
We are going to see the "American Spring". Order your tin (foil) hats.

Really ??
When has Israel gone out to kill Israelis ?

sigh
Poor harry has forgotten AGAIN, that fascist is another term for National
Socialist as in the Italian National Socialists under Mussolini..

Sure bub..
Won't happen here, because the Jacksonians will rise up and squelch it.
It think we're more than likely to see a Euro spring far sooner.

BTW, is it normal to use hollow point on the practice range?

They shoot their neighbours in Florida don't they?

We better ask Storming "Who is my neighbour?"
I seem to recall Jesus made a pronouncement on this.

I pay pretty well near the same price for HP as FMJ
So yeah, I shoot HP at the range
Might as well shoot what I carry when there is no difference in price.

and the reason for hollow points? It would seem more than zero per
person is too many.

Recently announced, San Jose, CA police dept proudly has added to
their arenal of crowd control, low frequency launching device. If you
ever lived in San Jose, you'd know there's not a lot of need for
'crowd control' ,well not today anyway.

The are several reasons for using hollow-points:
* They do more damage than FMJ (full metal jacket) rounds. As an economy
measure, you bring down the perp with fewer rounds.
* They tend to expend their energy in the first thing they hit, rather than
over-penetrating and going on to threaten bystanders.
* They tend to fragment, thereby enhancing the above two reasons.
* They're cheaper than FMJ because NOBODY uses FMJ rounds. Orders for FMJ
bullets have to be hand-crafted, one at a time. Or so I'm told.

WallyWorld has 10x the FMJ stock as JHPs. In fact, it's fairly common that
they don't have any JHPs at all. I buy 100 9mm JHPs every time I see a box
(almost always singular) on the shelf.

I forgot, the JHPs are about 20-30% more expensive than FMJs, too.

Or penetrating the skin of an airplane that is too high for that to be
a good idea.

I think reducing 'over-penetration' is reason enough.

Blow a bullet hole in an airplane at 30,000 feet and what you'll have is a
whisteling sound. That's all.

If using FMJ, you could request that all the various scrots and stink-eyes
line up single file...

Dumb ass.

I mentioned several days ago (before your tripe posting) they were
only buying 450 Million rounds of .40 caliber.

DHS does not pay for ammo for the Coast Guard.

DHS will be buying many new rifles. Same as any civilians. The price
of .223 should go up. Invest in guns and ammo.....

How do make up such nonsense? Does the Queen make you do it?
