Regarding Wikileaks and Assange himself, I do believe the guy is a hero. I
certainly don't think he, or the organization he is (nominally) the head
of is perfect by any means. I separate his personal life from his public
one.

But the point is that his personality cannot be separated from what he does,
that his megalomania is painting Wikileaks into a corner.

And as Alexander Cockburn points out in his most recent column

Cockburn never met a U.S. govt. policy he didn't dislike. If it was
necessary for him to crawl over broken glass to blame America for something
I wouldnt be surprised to see him doing so.

The trick is to realize that the left-wing is just as delusional in its own
way as the right-wing, nobody on either wing gets a free pass.
