The kitchen cabinets, drawers, and other compartments are very tempting for our grand-daughter to investigate. We are looking for a way to keep this closed and inaccessible to a young child, while still allowing adults to easily open and close the doors and drawers. Unlike 30 years ago when our own children were toddlers, we now have very high quality custom cabinetry and drawers, and do NOT want to drill or attach any fasteners which deface or damage the cabinets / doors. The fasteners were used 30 years ago required drilling holes into both the doors and the cabinets in order to attach the plastic latches. This is NOT an option for our current cabinets. Does anybody know of any device or fastener or method which provides a secure and reliable latch to children, easy access to adults, and easy removal without leaving any permanent damage to the custom cabinetry? Thanks in advance for your assistance and suggestions. Velcro tape? I wanted to design a line of clothing for small children called "Stayput". It would have Velcro sewn into the back of the clothing and come with accessory wall plates covered with Velcro to be attached to various locations about a home. The rug-rat could be stuck to the wall for various activities such as putting on their shoes, combing their hair or washing their cute little faces. TDD |

It's funny that a lot of the children I know of parents who own guns tell me that they don't touch guns because it makes their butt hurt. A better plan is to take kids to a shooting range as soon as they're able to hold a .22. Teach them respect for the weapon and how to use it properly. Repeat often and they won't find a gun so "interesting", should they happen across one. |

Swat on the butt sure is less damage than an accidental gunshot.

If enough kids get killed, eventually society will call for the ban of
all guns. And then we can be like England. Sadly, so. My condolences to the English. Fine, gentle people with a goverment gone socialist. -- Christopher A. Young Learn more about Jesus www.lds.org .. "The Daring Dufas" wrote in message ... All children should be taught about firearms anyway. It would prevent a great number of tragedies. They should know to not ever play with a real firearm and to call an adult if they find a gun. It's interesting that the government schools are pounding all sorts of safety information into the little heads of school children but they won't teach basic gun safety. TDD |

Minimally, a license, and a waiting period. National registration.
