Down at the HD & Lowes, there's a lot of Mexicans in the mornings. I see
pickup trucks pull in there, and tell em to jump in the back.

What time is this? I keep planning to check the places near me, but I
think I always wake up too late, and then I check my email, etc.

I don't need anyone now, but I'd like to see how many are there.

Just wondering if it's a viable option, considering you have no idea if
you're getting a murderer or what.

Someone interviewed on the news last week said, "They're not here to
invade your home. They're here to remodel your home."

But teasing aside, I see your point. My mother would probably not
hire anyone off the street, no matter how many good stories she heard.
And there were no illegal immigrants in my town then. I'm male and
I'm an idiot part of the time anyhow, so I'm no standard to go by.

You're work is outside work. I don't know how you can tell them you
can't use the bathroom, but you could do that. My mother always gave
anyone who worked for her lunch (at least for a job over a half day),
and the use of the bathroom. And there probably is no more crime now
than there was then, but people feel there is. And I've noticed, of
the few people who do work for me, or for utility companies at my
house, most refuse food, refuse drink, and never ask to use the
toilet, even the ones who are inside already.

It would take a lot of nerve to take pictures of them and email them
some place, but you could do that. That way after you're killed,
they'd have something to go on.
