Try posting on alt.hvac. They are knowledgeable and really go out of their
way to help people who are not in the trade to troubleshoot and fix air
conditioners and other hvac equipment.

Might be an idiot savant? Can't do anything at all, except
one thing?

Some AC problems are home repairs, others need a trained
tech. Please post more details.
