This is probably a dumb question, but it is something I have been
thinking about. Would a common house plant suffer if placed on a
table near a new window with Lo-E coating? Has anyone who has house
plants noticed a difference before and after getting new coated
windows installed?

They live fine with lowE, figure most houseplants are tropicals anyway
that never get full sun in nature.

Low-e will pass less light overall than standard glass, but it
does pass most of the light in the ranges that most plants need, so
there is not a great deal of difference. For some plants that
difference may become critical if the plant had been receiving just
enough before.
