Yes. Closing the under-sink valve a bit virtually eliminates the noise. Thanks

Inspect in a day or so. Sometimes tampering with the valve might cause
a leak. It's suggested too never have the angle stop valve at full on,

Actually, it's suggested to never have any valve, other than in-line
lever valves, full on.

With any valve that you have to turn to operate, it is always best to
leave it about 1/4 turn "off". Should the valve and/or stem freeze
up, you want to have a some room in both directions to unfreeze it. If
it's cranked full open, you may never get closed, which could be a
problem in an emergency.
