Default OK to combine neutrals in a fixture?

Aaron Fude wrote:
Hi,

I'm installing a vent/heater/night light/light combination. In its
junction box, it has four hots and four neutral wires. Is it OK to
splice the neutrals together at the fixture's own junction box? (If
yes, then how come they give you four?)

Thanks!

Aaron

They give you four so that you can separate them if the power to the
loads is not all from the same circuit. The grounded current carrying
conductors of different circuits must not be connected to each other at
any point except in the enclosure of the Circuit Overcurrent Protective
Device.
