Default shutter hardware - what is this?

hello,

can anyone identify the name of this particular type of shutter
hardwa

http://semi-suave.com:81/temp/IMG_1835_web.jpg

the piece serves the job of a shutter dog, but its not a shutter
dog... its a tilting mechanism that penetrates the entire lower corner
of a shutter; then on the exterior wall (for when opened) & the
interior window sill (when closed) there are corresponding female
locks that it clicks into place with. in this fashion, the one
mechanism serves two functions: clicking the shutters into the open-
position, and clicking the shutters into the closed-position.

i call it a "vulture head" because the interior side of the piece is
round (for a finger when its time to open), but has a notch for
clicking -- which looks like a beak. so from the profile it kinda
looks like a vulture's head.

anybody know?

thanks!
