I've heard a few interviewed who say things like, "It's not Islamic."
as though this is enough to say. AFAIK, chewing bubble gum is not
Christian, but it's not anti-Christian either. So saying it's not
Islamic doesn't mean anything.

If they want to make a statement, let them say that terrorist killings
are murder; terrorist bombings that don't result in death are sins for
which the perps should be punished on earth and are punished after
death (and they should go into more detail as to what sins they are),
and that terrorist murderers are going to Hell. I"m sure Moslems
have some version of Hell, such as the place where they think
murderers of imams go, or where adulterous wives go, or where people
who spit on the Koran go, and they should explain what their Hell is
and say that terrorist murderers are going there.

Let them say that in Islam, terrorist killers don't get to have
virgins after their deaths, they don't get even one non-virgin, they
get Hell.

If, OTOH, Islam actually teaches that Moslem suicide killers and
non-suicide killers are not murderers or that they don't go to Hell,
or even that they get a reward, then how can any such Moslem, or any
believing Moslem be trusted?

Even the weak criticisms I have heard have only been about Moslems who
attack the US. Well of course they're going to criticize that if they
live here. Otherwise their living here will become uncomfortable,
directly or indirectly or both.

Let them discuss the murders by Moslems in Bali, Spain, London (last
time), Germany, the Netherlands, the Sudan, Iraq, and especially
Israel which has had 100 or 1000 times all the rest of those countries
put together. Even if they can condemn the others, if they can't
condemn murder in Israel, they know how to make distinctions that
aren't there, and they don't really mean whatever other condemnations
they've made (which so far has been next to nothing anyhow.)

In Israel, beside the "usual" terrorist murders, they have put a bomb
underneath a 4-year old child (who wasn't even dying) sent in an
ambulance to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, which treats everyone
regardless of religion, etc. But now, because of this bomb, every
ambulance has to be checked for bombs before anyone can be treated.

Near Gaza, they intercepted a woman driving her car, and shot her to
death along with her four little girls also in the car.

And thousands of other cases.

If a Moslem won't denounce murder in Israel, murders that have been
committed at least since 1920, because they have "reasons" why murder
is ok there, it means they have no moral opposition to murder, and
they are only "against" it in the US where they fear it will make
their own lives harder. But as soon as they have a gripe against the
US, they'll rationalize murder here too.

No one who can't call murder murder can be trusted.

As the old saying goes "If you're not part of the solution, you're
part of the problem". Could not be more true for all Muslims.

Actually, before Allah, it was Jesus who -- at least so his followers
of various Christian sects claimed -- ordered them to rape, rob,
murder and torture each other in His name, often over minor doctrinal
differences. And, of course, anyone who adhered to a different belief
system, like Muslims and Jews, was fair game.

As history will attest.

The Arabs have long memories. They still remember the Crusaders
hacking them to death in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. One
knight left a gleeful record that "we waded knee-deep in blood".

So...religions that live in glass houses...
