It's worse than that. When moving from the corporate GROUP plan to an
INDIVIDUAL plan, you not only pay more, you lose many protections and can be
denied for pre-existing conditions. You may not be able to get health
insurance for any price.

I joined the local chamber of commerce and got the same plan I had before.
They charge 15% more for it since I am a single member, but that's not bad.
No problems with what you mention.
