QUESTION: Ceiling fixture wire colors
Red should never be ground. Ground is Green or bare (in US)

QUESTION: Ceiling fixture wire colors
Also, if the system is wired for a ceiling fan, then white is neutral,
black is for the fan/light, and the red is for the light/fan, as you choose. Is there an extra switch on the wall that doesn't seem to be doing anything? Ground will be green or bare (most likely). |
